Gender approaches to love

In the focus section of this issue, the authors deal theoretically and empirically with how people perceive, feel and act when they love. The articles provide a multidisciplinary perspective on the phenomenon of 'love', which must always be located within social power relations. The insight into different (research) fields of love can show their specific interdependence with gender.
