The focus of the issue comprises five empirically and/or theoretically oriented articles that deal with the opportunities and risks of digital transformation and its impact on socio-technological participation. The contributions of the open part offer an insight into the Russian feminist art scene, analyze knowledge practices of gender medicine, look at different social role models in East and West Germany and educational mobility using the example of Brazil and Colombia.
The 15th anniversary of the journal GENDER in 2024 provides an occasion to take stock of gender research. For our special issue, we invite contributors to review the developments in theoretical and methodological concepts over the past decades, to identify urgent questions, and to outline perspectives for future gender research.
