Gender & Art: Self-Images and Self-Concepts in the Arts
The idea of artistic creativity as a "male gift" has been handed down for centuries and influences the work of the artists. Feminist art reveals this standardization and thus offers starting points for dealing with the (self-)understanding of art and artists against the background of the current gender discourse. The articles show examples of such approaches from various artistic genres.
